enables you to receive digital weather files wherever you are
on the seven seas. You can place an order for these files about
the wind, pressure, waves, sea surface temperature, security
bulletins and satellite images concerning the zone in which
you are sailing. |

You define the meteorological product you need. For instance,
you can choose the geographical zone and alter it so that it
follows the route of the boat. You can modify the parameters
of your request at any time. |

7 days a week. All of your requests are handled automatically
and the reply you receive is virtually immediate. |

SET SAIL FOR SIMPLICITY |

Navimail is multi-standard and can be consulted via every telecom system that accepts e-mails : telephone,
mobile phone, all standards Inmarsat, Iridium, BLU, Internet. You only need to have an account at Météo-France.. If you are a France Telecom Inmarsat or Skyfile client, you
can access the service directly without a subscription. Your
requests are simply put on your telecom bill. |

HOW TO COME ABOARD ? |
|
To set up Navimail on you PC, you simply have to download a
software which is both user-friendly and free of charge from
Internet. This interface enables you to consult the Météo
France data base. Order and delivery of files are carried out
by e-mail. The products appear as attached documents.
Please note: Navimail is a free service of Météo-France’s Espace Pro on Internet : there is thus neither subscription to Navimail, nor any formula of subscription including Navimail. The account which you have to open and credit if you are not an Inmarsat or Skyfile France Telecom’s customer serves only for paying the on-sale products you order by this free service (Grib files). |

CUSTOMISED "À LA CARTE" FORECAST |
|
Security bulletins issued by Météo France and
satellite images of the whole world are available free of charge
(except for telecommunication call charges). The other digital
files are delivered in the GRIB format. The cost of data is
directly related to your request. You are provided with an estimate
before placing the order. If you use an e-mail address of the
type "my.boat@inmarsat.francetelecom.fr" or a Skyfile address, the service
is direct. Otherwise, you need to open a credited-by-points account at Météo
France. |
